Dear Jonathan Bean,
We are in second grade and we love your books a lot! Can you make more? We like your illustrations and we love how you make hybrid books. We especially love how you add lots of details in your pictures, even though they might not be true. We like that you make books about your family. One of our favorites is Building Our House. Two more books that we like are Big Snow and This Is My Home, This Is My School. We love how you make details that match your words. For example, in Building Our House, you wrote about how a lot of people were going to help you build the house. In your pictures, people are pulling couches, lanterns, and chairs. This is a question for you: Did you paint your pictures or did you draw them? Or both? From your fans, 2MR Today, we collected all of the charts students don't use anymore. (What was once new learning has become automatic!) After we gathered all of the charts, students were able to pick a chart to take home.
Between Halloween, our field trip, learning about our pen pals and everything that happens in a normal week, our week was packed! Below, you can see some of our work in math and science, our reading work on Halloween, and our ideas for writing letters to our pen pals.
