Our current reading unit is focused on meeting characters and learning lessons. This past week, we focused on characters, identifying their traits and feelings.
Thank you to everyone for a great Expert Museum! The students had a blast sharing their learning with you. We hope the Museum gave visitors a sense of the type of reading, thinking, and talking students do every day in reading workshop.
For the past four weeks, we have immersed ourselves in reading and writing nonfiction. As part of our learning, we have focused on three author studies. Try asking your child which author is their favorite!
Each week, students have Choice Time, a time for self-directed inquiry, exploration, and play. This week, some students played board games, while others created projects out of cardboard boxes and designed their own puppet show.
